Ruut Kiiski is a versatile Finnish conductor with background in choir, singing and church music.
WIth a long experience working with the voice, Ruut is particularly devoted to the hectic world of opera. Interest in contemporary and rarely performed music is also a strength that she uses especially when planning interesting and innovative concert programs. Autumn 2024 included an interesting and well received production of the Lord of the Rings, a massive collaboration between Tampere Theatre and the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra. Music for the play was composed by Tuomas Kantelinen. The spring 2025 started with a production of Le Nozze di Figaro, where Ruut played the harpsichord as well. Her spring continues with interesting concert productions with various orchestras. |
